I began the Imprints series in 2004 while in the Netherlands and the plan was to continue it everywhere I went. Unfortunately I was never able to reinvent the idea in the way I had hoped until summer of 2007 when I was in the Philippines. I came up with this work when I realized the one part of Imprints was most important, deep-listening, which had been ignoring to do in these works since I finished the originals. This work documents a the heat of a dry-rainy season in the rainy days leading up to a typhoon.
