The Paint They Left on My Lips (summer 2004 - winter 2005)
The Paint They Left on My Lips: works that look at different musical and personal influences and the marks they have left on my music and self. This came from wanting to live in the sound space of these works without leaving so I captured the aesthetic and made them as long as I wish they had been.
1. Black Paint From the South: Part I
3. Pink Paint From the East: Part I
5. Red Paint From the North: Part I
6. Black Paint From the South: Part II
7. Pink Paint From the East: Part II
9. Red Paint From the North: Part II
10. Black Paint From the South: Part III
These works I started before my trip to Thailand in 2004, when longing was a way of life without destination as I lived in the south, north and the far east and finished when I met my wife who cleansed me and showed me how to see the world and its beauty from any place. This work is sampled from Radiohead, Schoenberg and Nine Inch Nails.
These works are dedicated to Sheryl Magsino Stromberg.
